HISTORY
In a different era,
GABRIEL FARAH, a young man from Upper Egypt created a very new
style of fashion jewellery. With his family GABRIEL FARAH moved
to the Mediterranean coastal city of Alexandria where he could
expand his creative activities and offer them to the world.
1910:
The history of précising casting of jewellery for manufacture
commences. The fashion and jewellery industries in Egypt are
revolutionized and brought into the forefront due to this new
method.
1918:
After an initial eight years of building up his company, GABRIEL
FARAH begins to market his own design of platinum jewellery,
which includes diamonds and sapphires. The trade name is
“Platino”.
1927:
ADEL GABRIEL born and GABRIEL FARAH changes the name of the
company from Précising Casting to ADEL GABRIEL COOPERATION.
1936: ADEL GABRIEL CO.
creates a new branch of Pharaonic jewellery and changes the look
of Pharaonic jewellery.
1944:
ADEL GABRIEL returns from ITALY after four years of study and a
further four years of teaching new methods in making silver and
gold machine chains.
1953:
ADEL GABRIEL CO. expanded into the area of semi-precious and
synthetic stones and revolutionizes the quality and quantity of
perfectly cut, semi precious stones in Egypt and abroad.
1966:
ADEL GABRIEL CO. launches his new line of enamel jewellery,
which was a resounding success in the national market.
1975:
ADEL GABRIEL CO. works with Lebanese technicians in developing a
new diamond-cutting laboratory.
1984:
YOUSSEF GABRIEL, the new leader of ADEL GABRIEL CO. establishes
the first garment accessories and buttons line for the company.
1986:
The company decides to change its logo for a new visual
identity: the flower, which signifies the embodiment of purity,
elegance and metamorphosis. This logo now is widely recognized
around the world as the icon of ADEL GABRIEL’S dedication to
perfection.
1989:
ADEL GABRIEL CO. ventures into defining its own and unique
jewellery design by utilizing the latest technologies in working
with raw materials. This allows ADEL GABRIEL designers to offer
lightweight pieces of jewellery that are of stunning appearance.
These beautiful creations have proved a great success in the
international market.
1995:
ADEL GABRIEL CO. opens a new show room in Cairo, which displays
the special jewellery components available to manufacturers.
1997:
ADEL GABRIEL CO. launches the new natural Egyptian skin care
and cosmetic production, based on Pharaonic recipes, producing
remarkable, almost magical results
under the name of
COCO JOJO.
